651 ARTS Master Class

On Tuesday, April 18th, Spark House partnered with 651 ARTS to conduct a master class with their New Media Arts Fellows!

This years fellowship encouraged fellows to explore the works of Black Brooklyn artists, build their own platforms, tell their own stories, and critique and review work that speaks to them, all while considering how art can have major impacts on their communities.

Immediately following a visit to see Lynne Nottage’s Sweat on Broadway, fellows from across NYC gathered with Spark House teaching artists to discuss the importance of inheritance and the legacies they wish to leave behind, culminating in a reading and trip to the Brooklyn Poetry Slam at BRIC.
